Cubs 17 Day

Our Cubs program introduces the youngest of skiers to the great sport of skiing. These athletes are 4-6 years of age. We love to see these little ones take to the slopes. Often people ask “How old is that kid?” as they begin to handle ski terrain that seemingly exceeds their age. This parent-assisted program skis 17 part days per ski season. We know how challenging it can be to get little ones out the door in the morning, so we start this program at 10:00 am. The Cubs ski 10-11:30, have lunch and then ski 12:15-2:30 pm. The program teaches little skiers safe and controlled skiing as instilling the FUNdamentals needed as they get older. Athletes do need to be skiing independently before joining this program. Our Grizzly Bear mascot makes a few random appearances through the season. This reminds these little athletes how much fun it is to be a Cub!

The Cubs program begins mid December. It runs every Sunday, with the exception of the Teachers Convention/Family Day weekend and the Easter weekend, until the end of the season. During the season these little athletes will participate in the “Grizzly Cup” and the “Gene Durand Classic”, where they race down a simple course and celebrate with their teammates. Towards the end of the season there is also the opportunity to enter the “Doug Meyers Memorial Race” that is held at Lake Louise, which is two fun filled days of racing. All groups then wrap up at the end of April with the Family Fun Race for athletes, coaches and parents followed by the Club Banquet
